Association „Balta Maja” welcome spring with creative activities in month of March
Project “Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” (project contract number: 2012.EEZ/DAP/MAC/152) implementation continues. The project implementation provides support of Association regular activities and a variety of new activities. The project supported by EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 period Programme „NGO fund” in subprogram “NGO Activity Support Measure”.
In March continued earlier launched activities. There was a number of activities, interest groups meetings and began to meet a new initiatives. Organized activities were received very well. In Association there was presentation of Livanu poet Galinas Kaļenkovas second book. In presentation festival there was poet poetry reading and her’s friends songs.
March are women’s month and for our visitors had organized two events. The first was a meeting with the cosmetics company representative. In this meeting there was presented the perfume and talking about the secrets and news of the world’s perfume. The second was meeting with doctor Zannu Labinsku. Doctor talk about useful things to keep and preserve our health. was given information about the acupuncture and assistance provided by – Osteopaths.
Sincere was meeting with magazine „Ievas stāsti” journalists Ligu Blauu. Talented journalist shared his memories of earliest years of her work on Latvian TV. Meeting allowed bettering knowing Latvian rural life and political complexities. As detective stories was sharing the secrets of how to gain the trust of the magazine „Ievas stāsti” interviewed. The participants with the journalist remembered excellent persons – Viju Artmani, Dzemmu Skulmi, Jani Stradinu and others.
Theater troupe „Eliksirs” has much training for the Easter show. The show will premiere on Easter event.
We are pleased that formed knitting and crochet enthusiasts group. Third time active seniors is preparing a gift for Livanu county babies. Easter gifts will be granted not only Livanu County newborns, but also Livanu Catholic church – for church members is sewn pillows-pallets.
In March takes place a “gift” preparation for Association Day Care Center clients. Thanks to the project “Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” in march there are going Center working place repair. Renewed space opening event will take place on the April.
Association staff, volunteers, visitors and partners from local NGOs, service users and all other friends and supporters of the organization is satisfied that the “Balta maja” actively looks for spring. We wish lively spirit, hard working hands and always a pleasure to meet friends!
