September – AGAIN MEETING TIME
In the month of July continues association „Balta Maja” implement project “Support for the Activity of the association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” (project contract number: 2012.EEZ/DAP/MAC/152) activities. The project provides a regular and significant support of Association main activity and a variety of additional activities. The project supported by EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 period Programme „NGO fund” in subprogram “NGO Activity Support Measure”.
September month like it’s in school also in Association is again meeting time. Society visitors which in the summer period, more time spent in the garden and traveling or relaxing in September return to the Association. In this month begins to be active all the association „Balta Maja” activities groups. Association visited all activity group leaders and co-ordinate the time of activity. Are made advertising and information material for the coming activity time, and they are placed in the Association information stand and in the city.
Meetings after the summer break will again resume Association volunteers, people with disabilities, seniors and senijores, creative craft work participants and other variety of additional activities.
Just active as in the summer continues gymnastics classes, possible this class increase the number of participants.
We are pleased that the Association day center for people with mental disabilities are continue they creative, active, healing treatment. Thanks to the participation in Līvānu Novada Domes (local government) and Viduslatgales Pārnovadu Fonda (regional counties fund) supported project “Balta Maja” Day center acting continued in summer months together with their parents and Livanu “C” level grade class students and their parents.
The Association is pleased that the Association “Disabilities and their friends union “Apeirons”” has invited the “Balta Maja” to be the Latgales region partner in the project “Vienoti sabiedrībā” (united in the society), which is financially supported by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Under this project Livanu county people with disabilities will participate in several activities, and in the Forum wich will be held on 9 October. In this month was organized first implementation of the project activity “Creativity + information”. In this activity the participants formed their own city map, pointed object environment and the availability of services. Based on the developed materials, will be produced informative postcard. Bustling is our first autumn month. Vibrant and active are retiree’s preparation to Seniors Day. Association personnel are preparing to actions, which will be held in the month of October:
1. Forum for people with disabilities;
2. Informative measure for Livanu District NGO;
3. Fact-finding trip to the Senior Citizens Network „Dzīvotprieks” (joy of living) organizations in Ventspils.
