Association „Balta maja”

The Association expects the annual weekend with satisfaction at work.
Associations „Balta Maja” project „Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” (contract number: 2012.EEZ/DAP/MAC/152) launching supports the implementation of Association activities. This project launching provides a sense of security and stability in Association everyday life and help implement new initiatives. Project supported by EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 period Programme „NGO” in subprogram “NGO Activity Support Measure”.
In recent months, been very active in gymnastics group and handicraft group – they every week were learning new things. The staff and volunteers of organization was prepared Christmas decorations – handmade snowflakes – each one is prepared by another author. Now on Association hall everyone can see snowflakes exhibition. Always active mood was also in the kitchen. Lessons about food from the autumn harvest followed baking gingerbread and other confectionery products before the Christmas period.
We are glad that the resulting social service center is popular. Every day people from Livanu town and Livani district parishes washed clothes and showering. Also Association offers technical aids, which can be obtained for temporary use. These services expand the range of Association services – a day center for people with mental problems and Care Home Office.
The largest range of visitors has always to informative or thematic events. An interesting meeting was with radio journalist Eduards Linins who talks about Latvian policy developments. All association activities will be the main condition for progress by the members, employees and volunteers. It is thanks to these people, which are essential for the operation and development of the organisation, it shall be possible to realise the good works and ambitions and that are needed for the local population and and active people in other regions.
The project „Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region helped Association staffs expect year-end with a sense of fulfillment about done work. The implementation of a project will continue next year and we hope that it will supported many of the organization’s new initiatives. Good luck for all in the New Year!
