Association „Balta maja”

Project “Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” provides support Association interest groups and information events organization.
Continues project “Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to Strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” (project contract number: 2012.EEZ/DAP/MAC/152) implementation. The project was launched in the 2013th month of July, and its implementation provides regular support of Association activities. The project supported by EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 period Programme „NGO fund” in subprogram “NGO Activity Support Measure”.
The month of February almost every day Association was active – events took place several times a day, and several at the same time. As always most active was the gymnastics – mostly seniors. Several seniors are about eighty years, but taking into account the seniors activity cannot determine the age of them. Parts of gymnastics that practice their body take part in discussions about the spirit of a healthy lifestyle.
Beautiful things are made in creative handicraft workshop, which takes place weekly and brings together Livanu handicrafts – creative handicraft workshop takes place under the guidance of knitter Liga Verdina. In creative handicraft workshop was made very different handicraft thinks: flowers – from the canvas, greeting cards, painted silk and other heart encouraging gifts.
About interesting topics are discussed in different interest groups. “Travelers Club” members and guests talked about the Thailand, “Rudens Rozes” members shared their thoughts about the latvian sculptor Karlis Zale professional life and work. Because of suggestion of Elvira Krestova was organized Livanu city population meeting with Livanu heating representative person. This event has been raised many of the issues and questions of the city heat things and in the meeting they were also received very thorough answers.
Association is glad about newly started theater troupe. Because of suggestion of troupe members was hosted measure with the association “Uzori,” “Sodiena Ritdienai” and Livanu children and young center representatives. In the measure sounded the music, was played guitar and presented dance show performances. Measure participants recognized that such meetings should be continued – it is a good way to strengthen cooperation with other associations.
Association staff are pleased that the “Balta Maja” recognize and knows whole Livanu population. We are also pleased that anyone who opens our doors and ask: “What can I do here?” – receives a reply. The great benefit to the Association reductive work is the project “Support for the Activity of the Association „Balta Maja” to strengthen the Participatory Democracy in Latgale Region” support. Spring is coming – good works will continue!
